Sunday before service in the Meditation Room. Time: 9:00 to 9:30.
‘Om Namah Shivaya’ ~ Om, salutations to Shiva. ‘Om' is the primordial vibration from which the whole universe has arisen. ‘Namah’ means “salutations” ‘Shivaya’ means to Shiva, the Absolute. ‘Om Namah Sivaya’ means “I honor Shiva, the all-pervasive One”.
Many of our members have been introduced to chanting by participating in satsang at the Siddha Yoga Meditation Center in Monterey in 2010. Gayle Cureton shares her experience:
When you first hear the Siddha Yoga Chanting, you will fall in love with the way this practice makes you feel. After a short time, chanting can became an integral part of you heart. Gayle became a lead chanter at the Siddha Yoga Meditation Center. One thing remarkable about chanting is that now, instead of the random (sometimes scary) thoughts that would run thorough my mind, I get to hear and sing the many names of God! So Wonderful! It is with great joy I share this experience and practice with the CSA Community every Sunday. Come join us!
