Mission Statement
The Center for Spiritual Awakening OutReach group provides deserving agencies with goods, funds, and services.
Various agencies have been assisted throughout the years, but The Fund for Homeless Women, The YWCA, The Food Bank, and Community Human Services - specifically Safe Place and Genesis House, have remained as annual recipients of your generosity. And, the Sock It To Me Drive each December benefits homeless people throughout the Peninsula.
We distribute donations received from congregants to benefit people and families in crisis. Our efforts help provide education, safety, housing, recovery, counseling and employment to those in need. However, our major targeted donation goes to the residents of Genesis House allowing them to enjoy a special Thanksgiving Dinner, all together, like a real family.
We meet three or four times a year to strategize and review current and future projects. Since we can always use new ideas and energy to help us achieve our goals, you are invited to join the OutReach team by sending an email to Carol Arredondo at [email protected].
